Concentration Desk Review

A full sitting to map overweight names, sector piles, and correlated exposures — with marked limits you can act on.

Who this is for

Private investors, family-office staff, and advisers who already know their book feels crowded in a few names — and need an independent mark before they trim, hedge, or leave positions alone.

What you leave with

  • A concentration map covering single names, sectors, and shared drivers
  • Written marks against agreed soft and hard limits
  • A short action list ordered by urgency, not alphabet
  • Exclusions noted in plain language (what we did not review)

Scope

Included: review of the holdings list you provide (up to an agreed line count), printed worksheets, discussion of correlation you can see without a model theatre, and a one-page concentration summary you take home.

Not included: trade execution, broker introductions, tax advice, or ongoing monitoring between sessions. We do not hold assets or place orders.

How the sitting runs

  1. Prep (before you arrive) — You send a holdings snapshot and any prior limit notes. We mark questions in the margins.
  2. Desk open (first hour) — Walk the book aloud. Flag the piles that matter before debating remedies.
  3. Marks & debate (middle) — Set soft and hard concentration thresholds. Challenge the ones that feel comfortable only because they are familiar.
  4. Close (final stretch) — Agree the written summary, note open questions, and book a follow-up hour if the book is still shifting.

Duration & place

Three hours at our Sheung Wan desk. One primary client voice at the table keeps decisions clear; a second attendee is welcome if they share decision rights.

Preparation

Bring printed or tablet statements, cost bases if relevant to your exit thinking, and any house rules you already follow. If liquidity is part of the worry, say so — we may recommend pairing this with a Liquidity Notes Session.

Fee basis

From HK$4,800 for a standard three-hour concentration review. Larger books or multi-entity structures are quoted after we see the line count. See Fees for related sittings.
